Social anxiety disorder, sometimes called social phobia , is a phobia in which a person has an excessive and unreasonable fear of social situations. Anxiety (intense nervousness) and self-consciousness arise from a fear of being judged, scrutinized, criticized and being closely watched by others.
Anyone with social anxiety is afraid that she or he will make mistakes, be embarrassed,look bad or be humiliated in front of others. the horrible feelings of social anxiety can build into a panic attack. These intense feelings the person endures in social situations often leads them to avoiding social situations altogether.
With social anxiety often comes another upsetting problem , Anticipatory anxiety.- the fear of a situation before it even happens - for days,weeks and even months the person can be making themselves very anxious and stressed imagining all sorts of negative scenarios .
Sadly this phobia while being easily treated can be very difficult to overcome on your own , and often impacts on a persons normal daily routine , including school , relationships and work.

♦ Certain sexual inhibitions - due to performance anxiety
